I keep thinking with all this 'staying home' time, I'd get more done... have more time for whatever I want to do, including quilting... I sleep too much, watch tv too much, eat too much, play too much... and sew a little. I've got so many UFOs in so many stages of completeness... and the pile of tops ready for quilting IS growing slowly... who knows when I will have time, money and clearance to go see one of my quilters?
Here is a brief recap of my little bit of progress:
I participated in the Hope Quarantine Quiltalong this past Sunday... the intent was to finish the top by Sunday evening... I put the last stitches in it on Wednesday morning. Haven't decided on whether or not it needs a border.
Got the pattern for Pat Sloan's 'Out West' block #5 on Tuesday, cut and sewed it tonight:
I'm still working on binding a couple of quilts... One is Seth's quilt - the quilter, by my request, didn't trim the quilt. Who knew I'd have no access to a table large enough to trim it on? Now I'm kinda stuck... So I haven't even finished cutting and pressing the binding strips. I feel like I'm fighting my way through a quilting quagmire. The 'Sampler Gone Wild' quilt is half-bound... I was working on the handwork when my cat threw up all over the quilt... very messily... it is horribly stained now, and I'm still trying to finish hand sewing that binding down so I can soak and try to wash out the stain. I could cry. Not like it's my favorite quilt of all time or anything, but I did want to finish and donate it. Ah well, it may end up going to charity if I can get the stain out... and to the dog beds if not.
Tomorrow is another day and I will try to sew all the 'coins' strips for Pat Sloan's Childhood Games part 14 (two long piano key strips).
Stay well.
